Swimming in February.

Welcome to living in Arizona. It is February, it is quickly getting warmer we're now in the 80's during the day. We went swimming yesterday with my great friend April and her girls. We had a blast! The water was perfect. Thanks April for the invite!

Funny Kid!

We were all sitting around and Addie is watching a little Pooh show and playing with this Leap Frog Leapster someone gave her. Brian and I were talking and she looked at Brian and said, " Be quiet, I'm doing school work!" This isn't the first time she has been doing school work but the be quiet thing made me laugh. I just had to share.

My dear sweet child finally went to sleep around 3:20, and thought that she could wake up early too. I didn't have any of that and I made her go back to sleep. She woke back up at about 10 a.m. and I though alright you gotta get your lazy butt out of bed now...I am alive but last night sucked! I have some house stuff I need to get down, I am just hoping some energy will kick in sometime soon. Oh, the joys of children!

Go to sleep already!

It is now 2:30 a.m. my child is wide awake. We were not at home this evening and Addie fell asleep at someone else's house at about 8 p.m. her normal bedtime. We left and headed home around 10. She fell right back to sleep in the car, and of course right when we get home she is wide awake. Brian put her in bed hoping she would go back to sleep shortly. Boy were we wrong. I have a weird thing and I can not fall asleep knowing that she is awake. Brian is out cold. I just can't go to sleep until I know she is asleep and won't get up and cause trouble. All I have to say is WHY??? Save us all and please child, GO TO SLEEP!!!

Wheat Bread!

I tried my best to be Betty Crocker today, and make whole wheat bread. Honestly it worked out pretty well for me. I found this recipe on www.allrecipes.com. The bread turned out perfect! I was very excited! I thought I would share it! P.S. I took a picture but I haven't uploaded it yet so I stole the one of the site. Enjoy!

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

INGREDIENTS:
3 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45
degrees C)
2 (.25 ounce) packages active dry yeast
1/3 cup honey
5 cups bread flour
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/3 cup honey
1 tablespoon salt
3 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons butter, melted

DIRECTIONS:
1. In a large bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and 1/3 cup honey. Add 5 cups white bread flour, and stir to combine. Let set for 30 minutes, or until big and bubbly.
2. Mix in 3 tablespoons melted butter, 1/3 cup honey, and salt. Stir in 2 cups whole wheat flour. Flour a flat surface and knead with whole wheat flour until not real sticky - just pulling away from the counter, but still sticky to touch. This may take an additional 2 to 4 cups of whole wheat flour. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to coat the surface of the dough. Cover with a dishtowel. Let rise in a warm place until doubled.
3. Punch down, and divide into 3 loaves. Place in greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pans, and allow to rise until dough has topped the pans by one inch.
4. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 to 30 minutes; do not overbake. Lightly brush the tops of loaves with 2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine when done to prevent crust from getting hard. Cool completely.

Our Weekend!

I love this pic, I took it the night before we left for our trip.

We did lots of fun stuff this weekend but I only took pictures while we were at the Wild Animal Park and on our date on Valentine's day.

Addie and I had never been to the Wild Animal Park before. It was awesome! It feels like you are more in the animals environments instead of them being in ours. It was a cooler day so all the animals were out and very active.
These are a few of my favorite pictures.

This was one of the coolest things I have ever seen, the lion was right up to the glass just looking at everyone and chillin out.

Bruce and Adell

We went on this little train safari thing, all the animals that we saw were rhinos, garaffes, antilope, buffalo, and a few others they were all free roaming on some 100 acres. It was amazing!
Addie and Mimi

They had this huge rhino that the kids could play on, Addie thought it was super cool.

On Valentine's day Brian and I went out to a great mexican restaurant with a longtime family friend Victoria and her boyfriend Wayne. Wayne told our server it was Vic's birthday, we all had a good laugh with that one. We had a great time!

On our trip home there was a crazy storm and it had dumped a bunch of rain on us for about 3 hours of the drive. After the rain stopped there was this beautiful rainbow, the picture does it no justice.

Crazy kid!

A few nights ago Brian was doing some class work and Addie went and snuggled up right next to him, with in 10 minutes she was out!

My child is nuts! A few nights later I put Addie to bed, we didn't hear anything from her. I went up and check before I went to bed, this is what I found.
Jammies and a dress on the floor...

A dress and pants on my child, I changed her back into her jammies. The next morning I asked her why she changed and she said her water sippy spilled on her jammies.

We got away!

Brian and I decided very last minute on Friday to go meet his dad and Adell out in Yuma for the weekend. It was so nice to get away and just have a little change for a couple days. Bruce just got a little chihuahua puppy. Addie was SO EXCITED to see the puppy.

Papa Bruce got a new book and Addie loved it, he read it to her a few times this weekend.

Addie and Adell playing with the puppy.

Papa Bruce made a sandbox in the back yard for all grandkids that come to the house, Addie had a great time playing in it. I figured it would be best for her to play in it BEFORE I gave her a bath. That is why she looks ghetto in her jammies..

We went to this really cool little restaurant called Lutes Casino for lunch, they had all kinds of crazy weird stuff all over the restaurant. These are a few of my favorite.

When we were leaving it was raining and Addie asked Brian if she could be his little kangaroo..

We had a great weekend, and it was awesome to spend some time with Bruce and Adell. Thanks guys for letting us come and crash for the weekend!

Train park FUN!

Last Friday Addie and I met up with April and her girls at this awesome park in Scottsdale. They have a mile long train ride, a great playground, a "real" train that you can walk through and see all kinds of cool stuff, and a carousel. We had so much fun! Thanks for the great idea April!

The girls on the playground..

Addie Kay!

I was going to do this post a while ago and I forgot. Surprise, surprise! When I was taking the pictures for the header that is on the blog now this is two of my favorite pictures. Addie is coming to be her own little person, she is talking really well now. Whatever is on her mind she will not think twice before telling whoever will listen. If it's asking some stranger their name in a store or telling them hers( she now says Addison Krainock), it makes me laugh. There are many times throughout the day that she was say something that will either makes me laugh or think to myself I need to watch what I am saying. She is always listening, if I say a word that she is not aloud to say (stupid is the main word I have a hard time with saying) she will say "Mom! Don't say stupid!" Then me being the mom has to apologize to my 3 year old for saying stupid. This stage that she is in at times makes me crazy but for the most part I love it!
I don't know why but I LOVE this picture!

Our crazy girl, doing her "crazy face"
