GRR!!

I have always had issues with insomnia. It is now 1:15 a.m. and I have tried to go to sleep, and it just isn't happening. No matter how tired I am I just can't fall asleep. I have tried every over the counter sleep aids, teas, pillow sprays, breathing, praying, and a lot of RX drugs. NOTHING WORKS!!! It doesn't help that I have a million things on my mind. I just wish that I could be like most people out there and fall asleep after laying in bed for 10 min. This makes me CRAZY!!!

The only reason I can fall asleep within 10 minutes these days is because I'm permanently exhausted from having a newborn. Normally though, it takes me 45 minutes to an hour before I'm able to doze off. I don't feel your pain to the extreme you do, but I do understand how frustrating it can be to fall and stay asleep - especially when you have so much going on. Sleep deprivation is the worst! Good luck! I wish I could help!

Have you ever thought about going to one of those sleep centers "specialists"? I have always heard about them but I don't actually know anyone who has gone to one. I am totally curious.
Do you get to nap during the day at all?

Maybe if you get up in the night and do the dishes, your body will automatically go to sleep...you know lesser of two evils kinda thing? LOL. I am no help. Hope you find something that works! What a nightmare.

I'm sometimes have the same problem, usually during stressful periods of time. I feel like I have too much to worry about. When I can't fall asleep, I usually read a few chapters of a book and tire from doing that because I've refocused my attention on something else than all my worries and random thoughts, so my mind can catch up with my tired body and realize that I'm sleepy. Insomnia is no fun.
