I have a thought!
I have been thinking about "famous" people that are good looking...I thought this could be fun if all of you make it fun. I am always interested in other women's opinion on who they think is "hot". I have a confession, Brian agreed with me so I don't feel bad. I have a mild crush on Anderson Cooper. He has worked a little bit of everywhere on T.V. but now works on CNN.
I just think he is a totally stud and even with gray hair I think he is a hunk!
Who do you have a little thing for?? Come on and play along!
To clear the air, I told Carrie I understood how she found Anderson Cooper attractive. I did not agree that he was in fact "hot". I like girls too much, more specifically my wife, to be bothered with Anderson Cooper.

After I posted this Brian wanted to do a post saying this...

Finally...
I am not on top of things at all. Addie hasn't got her picture taking since she was 18 months. I know horrible. I finally got it all worked out and Brian's cousin Mic-mac (Mike) is amazing at what he does, so we are getting together on Saturday afternoon to do a shoot with him...I got a super cute dress for Addie, I am hoping everything goes well and we get some good shots. I'll put some up after I get the proofs from Mike.

Food Anyone??
This is one of the easiest recipes out there...and I think it's good.
1 TBS evoo or veg oil
10 OZ/ 2-3 boneless skinless chicken breasts diced
1 1/2 TBS chili powder
1 1/2 TBS cumin
1 or 2 cans of diced tomatoes
1 can of black beans
1 can kidney beans
1 can of corn
1 4.5 oz can of green chilies
salt and cayenne pepper to taste
In pot add tomatoes, beans, corn, green chilies heat on med. In sauce pan brown diced chicken, when fully cooked add oil and coat chicken with the chili power and cumin. Stir chicken into pot with other ingredients. You could also cook chicken and put everything in a crockpot for a few hours. There is many ways to enjoy your chili, with cheese, sour cream, tortilla chips, or corn bread. ENJOY!
This is CRAZY!!
Okay I saw this guy on one of Brian's cousins blog. This guys name is Nick Pitera, he can hit notes that some chicks can't come near...at first I thought it was a totally fake but its for real check out his blog http://nickpitera.blogspot.com/ or look on youtube.com there is a bunch of videos if you don't believe me... enjoy...

So I just came across an old album of mine...
And for some odd reason I felt inspired to share. Its an old album (90's) but by far one of the best albums I own, I actually only have a copy of the cd anymore and one of the songs is scratched through it so I might actually go purchase the disk again, but if you are into rock and roll at all, you owe it to yourself to pick up this album. Its by far one of the best albums I own/used to own. Its by Social Distortion and its called White Light, White Heat, White Trash.

No words...
I decided to try and be a good mom and sit down and "paint" with Addie. After I thought we were done I went in to wipe off the counter in the bathroom where she had got some paint when she went in to wash her hands. Thank goodness for washable paint.
I came out and saw this.....
NEVER LEAVE A CHILD ALONE WITH PAINT!!!!!

Potty Chart
I have been talking to a few people about the problems that we've been having with Addie and the potty, and some have suggested using a potty chart with stickers. After so many stickers then she can get a prize or a few M&M's. I don't really want to go back to the M&M's thing every time she goes cause then she just ends up eating them all day long, and with a very busy child already that just makes is that much worse. So today I went and got stuff to make a potty chart and cute little stickers, tomorrow will be our first day trying out the chart. I will let you all know how it goes.

What is going through her head??
I am at a loss for words but I am about to lose my mind. Yesterday Addie went pee in her pants 4 times. Today she so far has gone pee in her pants twice and for some reason thought that the bathroom trash can looked like an awesome potty also. She was doing great and has been for a while now, but the last two days have been enough to make me crazy. I am tired of her going through changes of clothes. What in the heck do I do? Make her go to her room? Give her a swat? Put her on the mat? I am honestly totally lost and can't believe this is happening or more so why she would do it....Anyone that has potty trained a child and has any advise please please share.

Halloween.....HELP!
Halloween will be here before I know it. I am trying to find a cute costume for Addie but I am kinda stumped on what to do or where to get it. Addie and I looked this afternoon but she liked everyone she saw, so I have a feeling she won't be much help. Where have you got your costumes for your kids? What was your favorite costume that one of your kids wore? Any great ideas would be awesome! Thanks!!!

One down, hopefully many more to go!
So I just finished up my first freelance logo design job. There were a few moments where things were a little frustrating, but overall it was a great experience and from where I stand right now I'm very glad to say that I feel extremely proud of the fact that I was able to deliver something that the decision maker's were very very happy with. I'm one of those people that cares more about making someone happy than the money I will make from the job. Not so say that making money is a bad thing, I just take pride in my work and it really makes me feel good when I'm able to get that, "I love it" reaction...its almost always makes the work worth it.
So pat on the back to myself for the first one down and hopefully this will be the beginning of many more to come.
5 more classes till completion...
So its been a while since I've visited our family blog, let alone posted. Anway, I've been very busy with work, school, and a freelance job I'm doing for Carrie's sister's company. They wanted their logo redesigned. The good news is I'm pretty sure I'm done with the logo project, and I only have 5 more classes till I'm done with my degree which means my very last day of school for my Bachelor's degree will be March 16th. So unless something forces me to have to take an unexpected break, I will be done with just a few days to spare before my birthday. Yay for me!
btw - Don't you all think Carrie picked a great layout for our blog?? We don't often agree on layouts, but I totally love the one she picked this go around!

What? It's not Christmas time?
I now have Addie's cold/cough.... we went through 2 1/2 boxes of tissues yesterday....it sucks but that's life i guess..
I found myself about a week ago in the mood for Christmas music. I know, I'm weird. It was over 100 degrees outside, and sure enough I put it on. Just hearing Silent Night puts a smile on my face. I think in a way it was just my way of wanting this heat to be over. I love Christmas music though, it just brings back great memories and warm and fuzzy feelings. We are driving to Idaho this Christmas, and for the first time since our wedding all four of my siblings will be together with all the kids...We are so excited..

Oh, the joys...
Oh, the joys of having a sick child. Addie woke up yesterday morning with a NASTY runny nose. Over the day she started running a slight fever and not being a very happy child. She told me two or three times that her ear hurt, as she told me this I was thinking to myself she has never complained of her ear hurting but has had many ear infections so this one must be bad. Brian came home from work around 4 p.m. and we took her in. The NP said that her ear was a tiny pink but nothing bad that her body couldn't fight off, and it must just be a cold. Today she seems to be doing somewhat better, and boy does she have some tude today that makes me CRAZY.
We have also been having some HUGE problems with getting her to stay in her bed ALL NIGHT LONG. Last night I put her back in her bed 3 or 4 times between 12- 6. It seems that right when I get into a deep sleep she wake me up trying to get in bed with us. What have you found that works to keep the kiddos in bed all night??? I feel like I have a baby again getting up 4 times a night...HELP!
