So I heard from my Mom-in-law that Pierce Brosnan and his family lived on Kauai. While she was here all she wanted was to see him....today at the grocery store I saw him twice....once by the beer.... then by the coke....I guess he was stalkin up for his new years party.....CRAZY!!

Being super sick is super fun!

So we got in to Kaua'i last night after a LONG day of flying. Addie did pretty well on the plane, she got a little restless after a while but for the most part did well. I have been sick with what I thought what a "cold" ish thing for a couple days. It has gotten really bad really fast. I feel like my head is going to EXPLODE, my nose won't stop running, and my throat feels like it is the size of a straw, and on fire. What a great way to spend our Christmas vacation huh?? It sucks big time. Brian, Bruce, Kevin, and Addie went on a "drive" to go look around at stuff. Today isn't really a beach day it's rainy and cloudy. I will put some pics up after a while....Happy New Year!!

Here we go....

We are heading out today for our forever long "Christmas Trip". We are going to Yuma tonight and staying with Bruce ( Brian's Dad) at his river house, then moving on to San Diego tomorrow afternoon to stay with Gloria till the 27th. Then the goodness starts! Brian's dad is taking us to HAWAII for Christmas...we are leaving the 27th at 10:30am and coming back on the 4th of Jan...woo-hoo! Packing for this trip has been pure hell but I'm sure it will all be worth it...Bruce said there is internet at the house we are renting so I will try and post pics every couple days...I hope everyone has a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS! Each and every one of you are a huge blessing in our lives, thank you for your love and friendship!

Two Days later!

I feel like a bit of a bad/mean mom saying this but I thought/hoped that she would have a "down day" the day of her surgery but oh was I wrong. Addie seems to not have been affected by anything, she has been totally normal. We did a bath last night, it was the first time with ear plugs. She didn't love them, but I expected her to freak out alot more then she did. She seems to tolerate them okay.
I am starting to freak out now...We are leaving for San Diego on Friday afternoon, we are going to be there for Christmas, then we are leaving for Hawaii on the 27th. We are going to be there till the 4th. I have a million things that I need to pack and are continuing to be told that I need to pack light and all that we will be in is our swimming suits all day. A) yeah I won't want to be in my suit all day everyday....NO THANKS, I don't want to see myself in a suit all day and either does everyone else! B) Addie will need a break/chill time from the beach. I know she isn't going to love having the freakin ear plugs in all day long. The thing is that people don't realize is that I am packing for 3 people NOT JUST ONE, one of them being a CHILD...You can't really pack "light" with a child. Brian keeps saying bring one or two changes of clothes and it will be fine...HELLO!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I know that he isn't going to be the one doing the laundry so why should he care....and I like clean underwear! I am almost just dreading this trip, I hate packing, and leaving my house turned upside down, the 6 HOUR DRIVE out to San Diego, then the 6 HOUR plane ride is just going to lovely with a 2 year old also. I am grateful that Bruce chose to do this for us, I am just hoping that once we get on the road then things will be better. As of now I just feel like I am going to go NUTS. The other thing is Addie feels that naps are no longer needed in her day, and 90 % of the time WILL NOT lay down and take a nap. I just think that today is not a great day and tomorrow will be a new one I guess... GRRRR!!!

What a morning....IT'S OVER!!

This is the scoop...last night pretty much sucked....I fed Addie and gave her a drink at 11pm then we put Addie to bed like the doc told us to so she would sleep in and we wouldn't have to deal with a hungry crabby kid. She woke at 4 am and all she wanted was a freakin drink of WATER...I couldn't give her anything because she had to be fasting from 12am on...she was so mad and SCREAMING...."wa wa"..over and over again...I felt SO BAD! About 30 min later she gave up and went back to sleep...We woke her up about 8am and got ready and headed in. We filled out paper work, went in the back talked to Dr. McKenna and the anesthesiologist, waited about 15 min and the nurse came and got her. She did pretty well, went straight to the nurse, gave her a hug, and let out a few little fake cries when she saw us walking away from her.. :( They sent us out to the waiting room, I called a few people to give them the scoop, and before we knew it (10 min later) out walked Dr. McKenna. He said she was crying pretty hard when they put the mask on but said it works a bit better when the kid do that cause they take deeper breaths. He said everything went great, the fluid that filled her middle ear was the consitency of GLUE ( crazy, huh? ) He said her hearing will be a sensitive for a few days till she get ijusted to the new sounds and how loud everything around her really is. He also said we will see a big improvment in her hearing, speech, and balance. 5 min or so after we talked to the doc the nurse called as back to recovery. One of the nurses was was rocking her she was pretty upset ( I guess it's normal ). They had me sit and rock for for a few, give her a drink, then they sent us on our way. She wasn't to happy during the ride home. Once we got home I just sat with her for a little while, she was a bit grumpy for about an hour. Then she got down and pretty much was being her normal crazy self, playing and being silly. We all laid down after lunch and took a good 2 hour nap, she is the only one still sleeping 3 1/2 hours later..But long story short everything went really well.

Some of you already know but for those of you who don't....I took Addie in to the E.N.T( ear, nose, and throat) doc on Friday. We talked for a bit before he checked her out. He was a very nice guy...his breath was HORRIBLE, and the pants he was wearing, corduroy purple and orange pants that would change colors when he moved.. I will never forget. Maybe it's to entertain the kids. But serious now...He asked a few questions about her and how she speaks, then he looked in her ears with a VERY LARGE thing..pretty sure is a "Otoscope" , but right away his reaction explained it...he looked back and said "yeah she just can't really hear you". He said she hears like her ears are plugged to under water. Over half of her middle ear is full of fluid, and said if we wait any longer then her hearing would just get worse, and her speech will get delayed more. He decided that we should do tubes ASAP, so we go in tomorrow at 8:45 am. She can't eat or drink anything from now on..He said the surgery only lasts 10 minutes, and it shouldn't be a big deal but HELLO I am a MOM,,,,so I get to freak out about this stuff but they put her completely to sleep. I think that is why a bit nervous, I just don't really know how she is going to react to everything before, after, just the whole thing. I'll let everyone know what happens..We hope you all had a great weekend!

SHE'S TWO!!!

I am still in total SHOCK that TWO YEARS have came and gone from the day I had Addie. She is a huge blessing in our lives, She came to us for a reason and we are very aware of it. She makes me laugh so hard every single day at the crazy things that she does or says. Her personality is one of a kind, she is for sure a ball of fire that ALWAYS keeps us on our toes, I couldn't have asked for anything better. Happy 2nd Birthday Addie Kay, Momma Loves you!!!

CRAZY CHILD!

I know I need to blog all about our trip and Addie's party and I will try and do that before the end of the week, but I have to give you all a little bit into the life of my crazy child...It my be TMI but I jsut don't know what to do anymore....So, we went over to Ang's house (Brian's cousin also a great friend of mine) this morning for a little bit. On the drive home Addie was super sleepy, so we got home I changed her diaper and put her down. I kept hearing her up in bed talking but not crying or anything, after about 30 min or so I went up to check on her to make sure she hadn't taken her diaper off and sure enough I walk in her room and she is standing in her crib and the first thing she said to me is "poo-poo". She had gone poop in her diaper, then taken it off and thrown the "poo-poo" on the floor AGAIN! It was all over her legs, hands, crib, and blankets. WHY on earth does she do this? How can I get her to NOT take her diaper off?? ANY TIPS?? HELP!

Oh what a night!

Yesterday I was a mad woman packing and trying to get ready to leave at 6:30 a.m. to fly to Idaho to see my parents. I went to bed at 11 last night knowing that I was going to have to get up at 5 a.m. to get the last few things in our bags and head to the airport...Little did I know it was going to be a bit more exciting then that..Last night at 1 a.m. the flu or some NASTY bug hit Addie....every 15-30 min till 9:30 a.m. she was barfing. It was HORRIBLE! Nothing is worse to me then seeing her sick. Thank goodness I was able to change my flight so we fly out tomorrow morning. She is doing better now, just really tired( she only slept for 5 hours last night. I am going to give her a bath and put her down for a nap...PRAY FOR ME so I don't go crazy!

More of our weekend

Last night the bogger thing was freakin out and I couldn't finish the blog....Here is a bit more...On Friday Glor, Vic, a few other ladies and I went to lunch, and went around to a few shops in Scottsdale. I loved this hot pink skull scarf, it's just too bad it was $395!!

Saturday we went up to some dude ranchish place, a few people went on a horse back ride but Brian, Addie, and I just walked around and enjoyed the cool weather and interesting things to look at. We also took a few family pics for our Christmas cards...Here is one I just snapped while sittin under a tree chillin.. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

This weekend was super busy but lots of fun. Brian's mom Gloria, his brother Kevin, and one of their great family friends Victoria came into town. We went over to Donna's house( Bri's moms cousin), it's always exciting to have alot of people around cause Addie always has someone that wants to run after her. At Donna's house she has a saddle, Glor put Addie up on it and she thought she was cool stuff...

Who Needs Sleep anyways?? Not me!

RIght now it is 2:15 A.M., I can't sleep, Addie has this dry nasty cough I gave her the meds that the doc told me to but it doesn't work very good...cause she is coughing like crazy. Brian is gone having a nintendo night with "the guys" and he said we would stop by walmart and get Addie a humidifier cause the doc told us that would help alot. But, who knows when that will be.....so until then I am going to attempt to go back to bed. Life is great when you are a worried parent.....and have insomnia. Ya wanna switch? A sick kid and no sleep??? Its good stuff, let me tell you!

Little Milestones for Addie!

Today for the first time Addie said Please and Thank You, she has been signing them for a longtime now but she FINALLY said them! We are super excited...it's a big thing to me to see her talking a little more here and there. She also went #2 in the potty again by just telling Brian that she needed to go...she is just becoming more and more of a little girl everyday, it's crazy how time flies when you're busy.

I think we are getting somewhere!!

For the second day in a row Addie has come up to me and said poo poo, and walked into the bathroom. So I have stuck her on the potty and sure enough both days she has gone...Woo-hoo!! About 2 seconds after she goes she signs for candy cause when she goes we give her a few M&M's or something like that. She was VERY excited and seemed some what suprised both times, her eyes get real big and she claps and says woo. it's pretty funny. It's a happy morning in the Krainock house, just thought I would share.

ARE YOU HEARING ME OKAY???

Alright so this is the scoop with Addie...
She is talking little more and more everyday, she just isn't talking as much as the other kids around her age. It concerns me ALOT... She has her 7th ear infection right now so they gave me a referral to go see a E.N.T about getting tubes, I am worried that all the ear infections have affected her hearing (as it did mine when I was a child) and therefore affecting her ability to talk. Brian thinks I am crazy but I have been around enough kids in my life to know that by her age she should be talking alot more. She says about 15-20 words. The people that we had come out a while ago and evaluate her said that she was fine where she was at the time and her talking should "take off" at anytime and if she isn't talking alot more by 2 then they will come back out and maybe do some speech therapy. So I am going to take her to the E.N.T. and see what they say then after the holidays I am going to have the speech people come back out and check her out again. All give an update once I get some answers... It's crazy to see how much she has grown....and I can't believe she is almost 2!!

Like I have said a few times before...Addie is crazy and sometimes in bed she will take her pants and diaper off before she falls sleep, I went in last night to check on her and cover her up and sure enough her pants and diaper was off...shes nuts and here is the proof...

Saturday afternoon Addie and I made a batch of Choc Peanut Butter Chip cookies...They are super yummy! She has been wanting to "help" me alot more lately with cooking and baking...she is too fun. Here are some pics of Addie helpin me make the cookies!

Sun Glasses

Addie crazy about her sun glasees....we went on a walk this morning and I had mine on and of course I had to get hers for her...she rocked them almost the whole walk...after we got home I got online to check my email and stuff, she was stand in front of me, she put her glasses on then put them on top of her head and said "boo" and repeated it a few times. She just does silly things that always keep me laughing. She is such a joy in my life, I am so lucky to have a happy, healthy daughter....

Don't eat the coco puffs...

This afternoon we laid Addie down for her nap at about 1:30, she was blabbering for a while....close to an hour...then she got quiet...I asked Brian to go up and check on her cause a few times before she has taken off her shorts and diaper before falling asleep then wets the bed when she wakes up...so he went up to check on her and came down stairs and said.." you don't want to know"....so at that second I knew it was trouble, then he said " It looks like coco puffs on the floor"....I went up stairs and sure enough about 10 "coco puffs" on the floor and one BIG "coco puff". She saw me when I opened the door so she sat up pointed and said "poo-poo"...she had taken off her shorts, shirt, and diaper, and thrown her " coco puffs" on the floor...we had one fun afternoon...I told Brian that we need to invest in a cam moniter, so we can see her and the trouble she is causing...so I just thought I would share the joys of parenting Addison..( I thought that pictures of this event would be a bit much) :)

Halloween Pictures!

So for the trick or treating we decided to go a cooler route and so she was a hula girl... She was so funny, the first house she went to I guess she thought they were inviting her in for a snack or something cause she was just going to go on in, but I grabbed her before she could get to far. Then after they put the candy in her bag, she sat down to get the candy out and eat
it...once I convinced her to move on to the next house....in a little southern voice she said "bye"....Everyone thought she was super cute...and of course I agree. Well I hope everyone had a great Halloween.

Halloween Party!

The fun Halloween activities started happening for us on Saturday when we went to Lissa and Damon's house for a little Party. It is still close to 90 everyday here and me not being the brightest crayon in the box, I thought It would cool off and so we dressed Addie up in her Chicken costume, she looked super cute but FRIED.

Guitar Hero 3

We just got Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii. I am not much of a video game player at all but it is pretty fun, and alot harder then it looks. We had Mike and Katie over for a bit today, and they had a blast playing it and smoked both Brian and I. Addie thought it was really cool, when we let her "play", so here are a few pics of her trying to rock out like Daddy! Someday she will be a total ROCK STAR!!!

Today I just thought Addie looked like such a little girl, it's crazy how one day I look at her she looks so grown up. It was a big shocker for me to go to the toddler/ little girls part of the store to get some pants for her. Here is a few pics...

The other night Addie crashed out while on the lovesac with Brian, she looks like a a little angel when she sleeps.

Tonight we carved our family pumpkin, it turned out pretty cute...Addie was really funny about the insides of the pumpkin. She didn't want to touch it, but after a bit she warmed up to helping me get the nasty stuff out..here is a few pics!

San Diego Wildfires

As many of you probably already know, my mom and brother have had to evacuate their home in San Diego due to the wildfires in the area. The fires are so vast this time, that literally every person I know in San Diego is affected by these fires. Most have had to evacuate themselves, and if they haven't then one of their family members have had to. Its hard to read the news and realize so many familiar locations from growing up have been burned to the ground and that so many people that I care about, may lose their homes along with everything else they own that is in them. The picture on the right above is a signpost near my mom's old bosses home, which we've all been to many times. To all who read this, please keep everyone who is affected by these fires in your prayers.

At night before I put Addie in bed we look through this photo album book that my mom made and I have put a bunch of pictures of family and friends. She points out the ones that she knows( can say) and I say the others. So this afternoon my phone rang, Addie picked it up, opened it and said "Hi-a", then my dad said hi Addie, she looked at the phone saw the picture that comes up when he calls, and said "papa"! It was so cute! She had never said "papa" before and thats what we call him. I thought I would share...

The last few days have been BEAUTIFUL outside, so we are out and about ALOT!!! Here are a few cute pics.

So the last couple days I have seen Addie talkin to her baby, yesterday she was standing on a chair at the table and her baby on on the table in front of her. She would give her a kiss then wisper "boo", then giggle, she repeated it a few times...it was too cute! Then today she was playing with her baby, (I have a baby swing out from watching a friends baby) she put her baby in the swing, and was pushing it and she just thought it was super funny. She is getting a bit better about playing by herself, she loves being outside in our front patio playing with the rocks, or just pushing her baby in the stroller. It's nice to finally have a few min to try and get stuff done without having a little one hangin on me crying.

Life is good...

As I sit here listening to Carrie tucking Addie in, over the monitor I realize that there is very much about my life that I would change right now. We have had our fair share of ups and downs that I think have made each one of us wonder whether or not leaving Colorado was exactly the "right way". But I am so glad we did, I now have a great job that truly cares about my growth in knowledge as well as experience, we have great benefits to keep the family healthy, and I am so VERY fortunate to have a healthy beautiful daughter and a beautiful loving wife who supports me in what I do on a daily basis. We are also fortunate enough to be able to take advantage of Tuition Benefits so that I can finish up school! Which by the way, we're down to 14 classes till graduation. On a final note, we're lucky to be around family that loves us and coincedence or perhaps divine inspiration, we were fortunate enough to live next door to the most amazing people who have been such a huge part of our progression, and my personal learning and progression in the direction of my career.

So i want to take this opportunty to thank each and every one of you who has shown us your love and support along the way, we cannot thank you all enough!

woo-hoo!!

One of my good friends Amiee told me about this place Tillie's Attic where I could maybe rent a little area to sell my blankets, slings, and little cuddle blankets. We went by there yesterday afternoon and I talked to the lady a little, and called today to ask more questions. I talked to a bunch of family and friends to see what their thoughts were...and after alot of should I, should I not...I decided to do it. I figured that now is the best time to try and do this, cause it is beginning to cool down, Christmas is coming up, and I swear everyone is having babies. So why not try it out throught the holidays. So when I get everything all set up I will take a few pics and post them...wish me luck and keep your fingers crossed that everything works out and I get some stuff sold!!

The first pic is of Addie's first door crayon art....I was doing the dishes and she was coloring on the floor ON PAPER, when she came up to me pointing saying " aw, aw" so I followed her and sure enough there was some great blue crayon art on the bathroom door...bless the bright person that invented washable crayons.
